Beatriu de Pinós Research Fellow

Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC)

I am a Beatriu de Pinós research fellow at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC). Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Health (Munich, 2018-2022), a research associate at the University Hospital LMU-Munich (2017-2021), a “Juan de la Cierva” research fellow at the Department of Earth and Ocean Dynamics of the University of Barcelona (2016-2017) and at the IDAEA-CSIC in Barcelona (2006-2015).

My main research line is on the human biomonitoring of environmental pollutants in human populations, with substantial contributions on analytical chemistry, toxicology and environmental health. Due to my strong background in biostatistics, I design tailored data science techniques to apply them to the latest innovations in biomonitoring and the exposome.
